ABOUT
Background
I always wanted to be on the stage. In 10th grade a wonderful teacher, Gary Epplen, took me under his wing and said "If you have a microphone.......people will listen!" I've taken his advice on that. I left highschool with a dream.......I would be a theatre teacher. That dream was crushed when my Acting 1 teacher in college had the nerve to tell me I was too overweight to do anything in the theatre. I passed his class with a B which stood for BOOGIE on out of the theatre career. Foolish huh? I have been called "thick" , "fat" and ugly. I have been called curvatious with unforgetable eyes and an adventurous spirit. I prefer the latter. I am designing this site to let the WORLD know that I am here, though un-noticed by the majority, I have survived.
I just recently have found my way to the stage again, big , beautiful and ready to meet the world through different eyes. I just did a stint working as a Karaoke DJ for 2 years and have the equipment to do weddings and parties! I love to sing, a talent I had forgotten about since my plays in highschool. None the less, I have a following of people who enjoy my work. I now get the compliments I so longed for in college. I also enjoy other hobbies such as cooking, painting and drawing, photography, arts and crafts, clogging and of course acting.

"Julie can sing about anything. The term "versatile vocalist" fits her quite nicely, as she can take any song and make it her own. I would definitely recommend Julie for those performances that require that something extra to make your event special and memorable."
